Greyhound Racing is a sport involving dog racing, very similar to horse racing. The goal is to see which dog can complete the track as quickly as possible. The sport is most prominent in the United Kingdom, the United States, Ireland, Australia, Spain, China and Mexico, although it is restricted in many countries and in many states in the United States. The first attempt to build the Greyhound track and start the sport was in England in 1876. However, the sport did not become popular until 1912, and it did not appear in the United States and the Western Hemisphere until the mid-1920s.

Greyhound racing is more than just a leisure sport, it also involves gambling. The bet is placed on certain dogs who win or participate in the game. This is how Greyhound is compared to horse racing, although there is not much money for Greyhound racing.
