Romantic Book Review - Linda Howard is almost forever

Linda Howard has earned her reputation for her romantic suspense novels, but when she returned to writing, she wrote some rare gems. This review looks at Almost Forever, originally published by Silhouette in 1986.

I remember buying this book from the bookshelf when I first published it, and I still have it. It is crashing now, but I recently reread it and want to share my thoughts on this book.

This is a follow-up to Sarah's child, Max Conroy highlighted in the book and left an impression, I am very happy to see him get his own book.

Max is described as beautiful, deadly charm, and used to interact with women. He is always in control and never loses his temper, because his charm usually gives him what he wants.

Max works for Spencer-Nyle and is about to take over a smaller company, but his boss wants more information and doesn't want to pay the company the price they have to pay, so fire Max to see what he can think of. .

Claire Westbrooke is the secretary of the company's CEO, and Max found the information he needed around her. However, he is very interested in Claire, just wants to make the job stand out, so he can concentrate on fascinating her and winning her. He knows that he will get angry when he finds out who he is, but as usual, he relies on his own charm to overcome this.

He underestimated the damage he caused to Claire. Claire felt something deeply, despite the calm front of the outside world. She didn't understand what Max saw in her at first, because she was beautiful, she was not the beauty that Max often had. When she discovered that Marx met the motive behind her, it seemed clear that the attraction was.

Max pursues Claire to win the absolute strength behind her and is moving, he can't get rid of it all. Claire's harm to what he did was very real, and you can understand that she didn't want to have anything to do with him.

This is a great emotional reading, yes, it may be a bit outdated, but I still get as much enjoyment from this story as I do today. If you have a chance to get a copy of this book, I highly recommend it as a classic Linda Howard reading.
