My time has changed! When I was in my sixties, if you were overweight, the choice of clothing was strictly limited. I remember going shopping with my mother. If it wasn't "average," there was only one store that really had clothes for you. But part of these clothes is called "chubbies" - how ridiculous this is!! This dress is something that Aunt Sophie might wear to the church fair. At that time we called them "old ladies" clothes. So now I am an old lady [at least a middle-aged person] and still will not die on them. They have no style, just ugly!
Nowadays, teenagers have a lot of clothes, dating sites, blogs and websites for them. This is great. Now you can buy "big size" prom dresses or "big size" wedding dresses, they are both beautiful and stylish. What a wonderful time is "uneven." For those who are not addicted to the Internet like me, we are big women in BBW.
Although we have more choices now, American society still believes that fat is ugly. We are stupid, lazy, unable to control our diet. We just sat down all day eating the oven and watching TV. Obese jokes are one of the last acceptable cultural stereotypes. People can't use any race or sexual abuser, but don't think that overweight people will be jokes or comments rather than human. Obese people are defined as losers who cannot attract the opposite sex. At least one episode of most sitcoms is associated with well-known fats. Then a bunch of stupid jokes followed, but when they found out that the fat man was actually a kind human, everything was fine [how open we are!]
So, if we hate getting fat, why not change it? How long do you have to eat? Although alcohol can not drink alcohol, female enthusiasts without sexual behavior, smokers without cigarettes, overweight people cannot have no food. You can change the amount spent and change the menu, but you still have to fight at least three times a day. There is always a sense of hunger.
Surprisingly, 40 years after "chubbies" is still irrelevant, how clever, interesting, kind, giving a fat man, the only thing that some people notice is their size. so sad.
