Outside line coach

For most defenses, the hardest position on the court is the outside linebacker. In a typical 8-person formation, such as 3-5-3 or 4-2-5 defense, these players have a dual responsibility.

responsibility

The linebacker is mainly responsible for controlling the running and forcing the ball carrier to turn back in the edge track. He can also force the ball carrier foam and work laterally to the sideline, allowing the quest to get there to help.

OLB's second responsibility is to cover the units on the pass. Normally, the 8-person frontline will run Cover 3 as the base coverage.

Most defensive coordinators use a mix of regional and staff coverage. OLB will usually be locked on cover 1 or cover 0, slot or tight end #2 receiver. When a player is locked, he can't be considered part of the defense.

alignment

The linebacker's camp will depend on your defense and his ability. ...
