Olympic Games - short (and bizarre) history

In the excitement of the modern Olympics, it is easy to hear it. With so many dramas, so much romance, and so much charm, it's hard to imagine that this world-wide landscape is not perfect. But you don't have to dig deeper to find a peculiar and eccentric origin. Indeed, it has spent decades of Hollywood magic to produce the quality sporting events we take for granted today.

According to Roman legend, the original Olympic Games was founded by Zeus's superhuman son Hercules. There is no doubt that this is an opportunity to show his power in front of the ladies. Another legend tells about Pelops, a Greek romantic and the father of the Olympics. In order to win the despair of his bride's hand Hippodamia, Pelops challenged her father, the King of Pisa, for a chariot race. In order to give himself an edge, Pelops replaced the king's key, made with wax, melted in the game, throwing the king...
