Daytona Beach is a great place to visit in winter. The sun is shining, the ocean is beautiful, and the Daytona 500 track and information center. Just next to the Daytona 500, actually in the parking lot, there used to be a small old dog's track.
This is good, but I always thought it was a strange place to put a greyhound track. Others must think this too, because they got it down and built a new facility on Williamson Avenue about 3 miles from the road.
I was very excited when I heard it, but I was more interested when I read that it would be the world's first certified LEED Greyhound Park. To get LEED certification, you must build to reduce the impact on the environment, which is a very good idea in Florida.
Well, they not only do this, but the toilet in the lounge allows you to choose how much water to wash, but they have created a place to let go to the dog. ..
