- Don't step back . One of the biggest obstacles to fast reading is backwards. It is natural to want to have a clear understanding of what is being read. As reading speed increases, the trend of return will be less and less. You must consciously strive to move forward instead of going back. As you move, words you might miss should not interfere with meaning.
- Change the speed. Everything read does not have to be read at the same speed. Some of the more technical things will be read slowly.
