Words, words and more words - these are all important tools for any writer trading.
Sometimes the joy of tying them into an eloquent thing is indescribable. You know exactly what you want to give the reader, but you still insist on using the correct words to express your meaning. Sometimes you will find the right word and overuse it.
Whether you are writing a novel, a non-fiction article or a book review, you want to make your own point of view and keep your readers interested. Using the same hackneyed expression is a reliable way to lose them. Unfortunately, a lot has happened in the book review. The same thing said again and again.
That's why I call THE SYNONYM FINDER the best friend of the book reviewer.
Example: If you read a book review, you will see interesting words appear suddenly.
What if you are writing a review and want an alternative, but you don't think of one?
Take a copy of THE SYNONYM FINDER from JI Rodale. Find interesting words and you will find: interesting, engaging, engaging, fascinating, stimulating, evoking, excited, excited, charming, transferable, glamorous, glamorous, seductive, fascinating, inviting and winning.
This is just an example. This synonym contains an astonishing 1,500,000 words. If you can't find what you are looking for here, that hasn't been said yet.
It is a dictionary format and I found it easier to use than the theme organization. The subdivision of different parts of speech and the different meanings of the same word; also includes proverbs, ancient, scientific and other special terms.
I can't recommend it. My own paperback is so a dog's ear; I put the hardcover version on my wish list.
If you do any type of writing, SYNONYM FINDER is absolutely essential, essential, essential, mandatory and required.
