more details

The subtitle of this book is "A revolutionary plan to do everything you love." And suggested that scanners often find themselves arguing that they can't choose one thing and stick to it. Barbara recommends not doing this: refusing to choose.

The authors identified seven types of scanners, divided into two groups: Loop scanner and sequential scanner. The first three belong Cycle scanner:

  • Dual agent: from

These people have the illusion of becoming two people, one person doing the right thing, and the other person being free to realize his dream.
  • Sybil: from

This is a person with many areas of interest who return to these areas over and over but rarely do anything.
  • Plate Spinner: from

They are energetic by doing many things at the same time, they like to solve problems, but all of this leaves little time for any of their own projects.

Periodic scanners know what their interests are, unlike sequential scanners that always find a whole new level of interest. The following six belong to Sequential scanner:

  • Series experts: from

They often perform well in any area they are in, fully engaged, and then, usually in their games, quit and start new things.
  • Serial port master: from

For these people, interest comes and goes, but the love of mastery always exists. Once they have mastered something, they will go looking for new projects.
  • Jack's know-how: from

Jack likes to learn. They are usually not passionate about any profession, but love to learn new things and help people.
  • Wanderer: from

This is a person who likes to experience random and allows himself to go to anything that looks attractive and interesting.
  • sampling: from

These people look for a special sense of richness in their lives and find that there are few ways to fill it.
  • High speed hesitating: from

     they are from

    Maybe
    from

The most misunderstood thing in all scanners is that they are pushed to something new faster than any other scanner, but not because they lose interest, but because they see something more fascinating.
