Advantage of happiness

Shawn Achor has written a book entitled "Happiness Advantage, Seven Principles of Positive Psychology, Promoting Success and Performance." He discussed an original idea, and I have never heard of an idea called post-traumatic growth. The term post-traumatic growth is a credible new term that is defined as the experience of positive change due to struggle and a challenging life crisis. The benefits are endless, including empowering individuals, changing priorities, and enriching the existence and spiritual life.

I like the foundation of his book and mention the research principles called "fallen". "There are a group of people who are called "positive outliers" – they are highly optimistic and successful – and can still grow despite trauma, but that's why," he wrote.

Shawn challenged his readers to try this short positive psychology experiment:

Take out a piece of paper and write down the three greatest moments of growth in your life.

I didn't spend too much time on dismissal, I came back to school very late, and there was a car accident.

Shawn speaks publicly in 45 countries around the world. The results of this exercise show that 90% of the responses are about periods of high tension. They include going to college, studying abroad, attending the finals, resigning a job to find a better job, the birth of a child, and even depression. Experienced the greatest growth moments due to stress and change.

For me, being laid off, going back to school and car accidents are traumatic, but this is not the end of the story. After I met this series of events, I thought of "How is it now?"

In fact, there has been a lot of research on individuals who have experienced growth after the most serious traumas you can imagine: heart attacks, breast cancer and military battles. But this can actually be a catalyst for change. It actually prompts many people to put their priorities in the first line. We all know that people who have done this have witnessed their progress being very remarkable. Some have and will continue to be my inspiration. As far as I am concerned, unemployment leads to a career shift that is in fact consistent with my core vision and values. Sean believes that if you have experienced trauma, find a specific action - you know what you can do - to reduce the negative emotions associated with trauma.

On September 11, 2001, singer Patti Austin booked a flight on an internal flight in the United States, but had to cancel her trip due to the recording promise. The plane was allegedly hijacked by terrorists and all the people on board were killed and are aiming at the White House. She thought that if she had been on the plane, and as a spiritual person, she realized that God must have a bigger plan for her life. She changed her attitude and realized that she had to make the most of what she had now by solving the health problems that plagued her life. So she focused on losing 40 pounds. By bypass surgery. This put her brain in a "victory" and let her continue to move forward.

What hinders us from creating positive changes in our lives? We are afraid of change and some people become complacent. When you change your way of thinking, it will change your habits. When I see what happens in an optimistic version rather than a pessimistic version of the event, the key to growth is coming.

We were taught from

Successful formula
from

At a young age. If we work hard, we will be more successful, and if we are more successful, then we will be happy. If this is true, then if we can find this great opportunity to win the next promotion and lose the 10 pounds, then happiness will follow. We all know that this is not the case. Can happiness bring success? No, this concept is completely behind. When we are active, our brains become more participatory, creative, motivated, energetic, flexible and productive at work and in life. This is evidenced by rigorous research in psychology and neuroscience, management research, and the bottom line of global organizations.

Trauma in our lives is not always enjoyable - but it is the beginning of the story and not necessarily the end. Those who thrive insist that their actions are still important and that they can still grow.
