12 tips for developing self-esteem

Cultivating self-esteem is what we all feel to varying degrees. Some people always seem to feel that they are at the top of the world, while others always feel a bit blue. How to cultivate good self-esteem?

1. The first thing you have to learn is that you should seek approval from within, not from others. When you are a child, it is natural for you to seek recognition from your parents and other adults in your family. But since you are an adult, you should learn to get approval from yourself.

2. To get your own recognition, you must first understand what you need in life. This means knowing what you need, not what others say you need. You will find that there are always many people who want to indicate what you should pursue in life. In order to be self-approved, you must know what you want and then pursue it so that when you succeed, you will truly feel self-recognition.

Don't blame yourself when something goes wrong outside of your control. If you admit that something is undeterminable, then honest self-recognition will come.

On the other hand, don't underestimate your talents. A person with low self-esteem will feel that he can't do many things. In fact, he is very talented. If you have proper self-esteem, you will definitely go very far.

5. Do you think that you have a deeper problem that will lead to your inferiority? Maybe you need a counselor or psychologist to help you with the job. Some of us need some support from others to restore our sense of self-worth.

6. Find out who you are. This means determining what you really represent and what your value system is [you should believe it based on you rather than on others]. When you know who you are, other people will be harder. You are disappointed.

7. Responsible for the choices you make in life. This is the way to be truly happy. When you admit that you are the one who creates your own future, you will be better able to achieve your goals in life.

Write down the things that make you feel worried on a piece of paper. Then look at them again. You will find that many things that worry you are actually very small things.

9. Learn to realize that when you try to solve your failure, you will often succeed. The solution will suddenly appear when you least expect it, so treat failure as an opportunity to try another solution again, until you are right.

10. A major mistake many people make is to compete with others. In life, you don't compete with others; instead, you actually want to beat your own records in any project you do. Your performance is as good as the last performance.

11. Willing to take risks. People with low self-esteem always seem to think that they will fail, so they lose the nerves of pursuing a new career. On the other hand, people with strong self-esteem are more willing to be risk takers - you know? Most of the time, risk taking will pay off for them. When you become an adventurer, you will help you build your self-esteem.

12. Practice positive thinking. There are many historical figures who prove that positive thinking is a good attitude and must improve your self-esteem. Success is based on positive thinking and then positive.

It is easier to cultivate self-esteem than you think. I hope these steps can help you develop your self-esteem.
