List of basic supplies for successful day care centers

Opening a daycare center is the perfect way to turn your love of working with your child into a prosperous business. Starting a successful daycare requires some necessary equipment and supplies. Although the daycare business can be built over time, you need to have some items right away. If you have a child coming when you open the door, you will need some necessities when you arrive.

  • Smoke Detectors
  • Carbon monoxide detector
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Flashlight or lantern
  • Portable radio
  • Socket plug
  • Cabinet lock
  • First aid kit

Your first priority, especially when working with your child, should always be safe. The stage of early childhood development is very different from that of preschool children. Be sure to keep this in mind when buying toys and equipment. The following is a basic list of equipment needed for day care when a child arrives in a child.

toy:

Without TOYS, your supply list will be incomplete. Toys and other educational materials are among the most important items when starting day care. Children need to do something all day long. Be sure to find toys that are suitable for the age you plan to use in your facility. You should also invest in books and learning toys to help your child develop spiritually. First, look for toys and educational materials in the following categories:

  • Book
  • Dramatic drama
  • Teaching aid
  • Piece
  • Felt
  • Big motor

Furniture:

You need to invest heavily in the furniture you choose for your daycare program. Some basic furniture needs:

  • High chair
  • Booster seat
  • Rocking chair
  • Sofa
  • Table
  • Small chair
  • Nap mat
  • Baby cot
  • Step stool
  • Training toilet

Children or younger children need a nap at some point during the day. For these children, you need to buy a nap mat or a baby cot. It's in your best interest to buy more than you need. By using a crib instead of an actual bed, you have more space for climbing equipment and other toys. Dogs should have removable sheets that should be cleaned once a week and should be labeled with the child's name and used by the same child throughout the school year.

outdoor equipment:

Your child should be able to play outdoors and enjoy the sun when weather permits. Depending on the area, a fenced playground is required for safety. In any case, playground equipment does not need to be the best on the market, but it should be safe and age-appropriate. You also need to make sure that your playground equipment is placed on a soft surface such as a rubber cover or lawn.

Be sure to check the minimum standards for your state before planning a list of basic equipment required to operate the daycare center.
