You love your child, this is given. You want them to be at least as successful as you are at school, maybe more.

But sometimes you are not sure how to help your child succeed, right?

If this is appropriate, read on.

First, understand that being a father, whether you live with them or not, is very important to your child. Don't think in other ways. Even if society calls you an unruly father, you are still important.

Dad, here are two important free things that you can do to help your child achieve. It's best to start these things from an early age, but if you don't, it's not too late. You can start today.

1] Talk to your child. This means not just asking, "Have you done your homework?"

Instead, try a dialogue initiator like "Tell me..." or "What do you think..." or "Describe...".

Then slowly count to 10 in your mind before you say anything else. Give them the time they need to gather ideas - what the teacher calls "waiting time."

Listen carefully to what the child is saying and at least ask a follow-up question. "Why...?" is often a good one. Or try, "Yes, is there anything else?"

When talking to your child, please do not hesitate to use big words. This is how they learn from them. Children need to hear words from their mouths, not television, radio or computers.

There has recently been a study of how many words a child hears at home. They found that an average four-year-old child in a welfare family can only hear one-third of the number of words a child has in a professional family. The call of the child at the age of three heralds the success of their reading in school life.

Talk to your child and listen to more information at no cost. In general, when you talk to your child, encourage and slowly criticize. It's easy to practice with a little. You can do it.

By talking to them and reading, you can help your child succeed in school. As you know, academic achievement and the success of life depend to a large extent on the ability to use language.

Finally, in just a few years, your children are still young and enjoy them wholeheartedly! This also helps them succeed.
