This is an interesting book. Two days after Steve Jobs passed away, I was writing this abstract. This is a person who concentrates on innovation. This is my concern for this book. Everyone believes that innovation is delivered from the top down. This is true in some cases, but this is not the case if you want to consolidate the value of the organization you work for.

I will not waste your time. Let us face the reality - most people work for others, this book can help you succeed in your career. I will analyze these ideas and share with me my behavior when my team shows these scores. I can tell you that even if we don't agree, they will get rewards. I need unique ideas, innovations and opinions to keep our organization winning the game.
The number of people sleeping in their work is heartbreaking. I don't want this to be my biggest enemy, because it is a waste of time and effort. Towers Perrin's research shows that only 21% of employees are engaged in their work, and 38% of employees are completely out of contact. This is equivalent to below-average results, poor customer service and no profit.
The cornerstone of innovation is a very simple idea, that is to eliminate. If you consider the design of IPOD, you will see the elimination of work. Compare it to a standard Casio MP3 player and see the differences in packaging, buttons, ruggedness and usability. There are many IPODs and they are more valuable.
Robert's book is broken down into seven different innovations or I-Skills. For the passage of time, I will focus on three main points and look at why they are important from the perspective of the business owner.
1. Trouble - troubles provide unlimited opportunities for innovation. Think about every time a customer makes a complaint, they have the opportunity to consider the complaint and fix it so that it doesn't happen again. This is an iterative process that produces results. The key is to build a solution and launch it.
2. Elimination - There are two reasons why people can buy pain or get happiness. It is crucial to get more fun than to eliminate non-essential items. Creating value and focusing on value-oriented work is the main content of successful organization. Therefore, it is necessary to identify and eliminate ridiculous work. The key is to schedule time and write down what you are doing. Think about these statistics - the average manager receives 150 emails a day, knowledge workers are interrupted every 3 minutes on average, and 25% of staff say their meetings, emails and voicemails are unmanageable. How much of this busy work really adds value? To answer this question, you can contribute to building a great organization.
3. Action - Innovation is a mentality that requires only action. Assuming no one cares or nothing changes is a police and an excuse to stay away. I can tell you that if you show the potential of an innovator, then one person in the organization will care, and that person will sign your check.

Henry Ford said - "Thinking is the most difficult job, which may be why few people are involved. Habits. Habits only take 21 days. One thing you can take away from this book is to eliminate."
