Chinese medicine treatment of back and joint pain

Anyone who has experienced painful injuries is very familiar with the consequences, especially the accompanying feelings of discomfort and loss of mobility. Pain is the most common cause of consultation with American doctors, causing half of Americans to seek medical care every year. Chronic pain is the third most common health care issue affecting productivity, mobility and quality of life.

Pain is related to the feeling of pain. If you feel pain and hurt, you will feel discomfort, pain, and even pain, depending on its severity. The pain can be stable and constant, in which case it can be pain. This may be a kind of irritating pain - a pulsating pain. The pain may be pinched or stabbed. Only people who have experienced pain can describe it correctly. Pain is a very personal experience.

This article highlights several herbal formulas and supplements that we often use in the clinic to help relieve acute or chronic pain.

In Chinese medicine, both new and new physical injuries are considered to involve blood stasis syndrome. When something doesn't move, it creates a stalemate and discomfort. The quality of the pain depends on the blocked blood, gas, yang, etc. In a typical time - injuries that cannot heal within a few weeks - may be complicated by other syndromes, both of which are constitutional [eg, blood deficiency, qi and blood] stagnation] and indirect [ For example, wind or wet intrusion].

Usually when patients complain of pain in any part of any limb, including shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, etc., I often choose the right formula, such as Pueraria 10 or Angelica 14, which may be suitable for shoulder, neck and head pain. They focus on driving the wind and regulating the air. For tendon fatigue and inflammation, Acanthopanax provides pain relief and rehydration to help strengthen activity.

For traumatic injuries such as sports injuries or falls, I consider using formulas such as Sanqi 17 and no pills. These formulas are blood exercise and blood activation formulas. Both formulations include myrrh, frankincense, peach, red beans, gladiolus, peony [white or red], cinnamon sticks and turmeric.

Repeated stress, old wounds and persistent joint pain are usually treated with herbs that add rehydration and anti-wind. Joint problems can be evaluated with regard to rheumatoid accumulation or the Chiang Mai 12 treatment of weak syndrome.

For low back pain, I will consider a formula such as Eucommia ulmoides 18 plus acanthopanax. 10. Eucommia ulmoides 18 contains many herbs for qi and blood circulation. In many cases, low back pain includes tight or knotted muscles. The principle of treatment is to remove toxins, nourish the blood, and relax muscles and tendons.

Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, cupping, massage, relaxation techniques and dietary changes are some of the things you can do to help you relieve pain.
