Aligarh - City of Education and Etiquette

The name Aligarh evokes the memories and images of AMU [Aligor Muslim University], its famous lock industry [Aligarh ke taale] and its adab [cultural and refined behavior]. In fact, sometimes Aligarh will find the last traces of the proverbial Muslim nafasat [style and gentle manners]. Even once accused of Lakhanavi adab is fading. But because of AMU, the school team established by Sir Saeed Ahmed Khan in the 19th century, Aligar still has the remains of the Mughal culture and the gorgeous Tahib [exquisite] that shocks you.

It is a city with a long history. In addition to AMU, Aligarh is a city of poets. The Urdu poet and the word writer Shakeel Badayuni studied at AMU and attributed the depth and depth of his poetry to the contagious cultural air and Aligarh's aura.

The poet Akhlaq Muhammad Khan' Shaharyaar' [famous for the song of the movie Umrao Jaan] teaches Urdu in AMU. ' Shaharyaar' is his nickname. The great historian Dr. Muhammad Habib and his equally distinguished son, Professor Irfan Habib, are honorary professors in the history department of AMU.

There are many legends related to Aligarh's famous lock industry. In 1977, the author appeared in Manohar Kahaniyaan [Hindi, Mitra Prakashan, Mutthiganj, Allahabad; now published by Delhi Press in different publications]. The article points out that there is a lock mechanic/manufacturer Tala bulk outflow kaarigar] in the second half of the 18th century from Suratra's Surat to Aligarh. The ambiguous article [perhaps my memory disappoints me] does not explain why Surat's lock manufacturer left the place in order to choose a distant place like Aligar. This means that Surat was known for its locks before Aligarh put on the cellar. There may be a little bit of truth, because there is still a slang in Hindi and Gujarati: the Gujarati story ki mazbooti [the power and security of the Gujarati lock].

AMU has witnessed a variety of cultural turmoil and the Cavaliers. It saw the best and worst days. Its legendary Abdullah Hall brings a lot of memories. The movie spectator still remembers this great song "mere mahboob tujhe meri muhabbat ki qasam' [written by former AMU student: Shakeel Badayuni], taken by Rajendra Kumar of Mere Mahboob [1963]. The film is in AMU Shooting on campus. One can see the famous Victoria Gate's AMU Muhammad de la Fife is very obsessed with the atmosphere of AMU, he is eager to say, "Kaash ke main yahaan taalib-e-ilm hota' [hope I am a student here].

Aligarh may not be as good or great as Lucknow in Mughlai cuisine, and still find very good and non-signal non-vegetable food in Aligarh. The famous Paaya Soup ' ' nihari' can be some very affordable and clean restaurants near AMU.

If you visit Aligarh, please visit AMU. When a person goes to Varanasi, it is like visiting BHU. Poet Gopaldas Saxena' Neeraj' from Aligarh he once wrote, ' Iss Aligarh shahar ki baat hai nirali / aaya jo yahaan fauran iski taareef kar daali' [for Aligarh / anyone, There are some very special things that immediately fell in love with this place and eloquently praised].

The great Urdu poet Saghar Nizami belongs to Aligarh. The same is true of Qura' tul-Ain Hyder, who wrote novels in English and Urdu.

The atmosphere of the city is related to tahzeeb and tammaddun [exquisite etiquette and civilized behavior].

I remember how a gentleman brought me to AMU when I asked for the direction of the school team when I first visited the city. He was a former student of AMU from 1972 to 1974, Dr. Aleem Khan. Thank you, Dr. Khan. I still remember your good posture.

While interacting with people in this beautiful city, others have the same experience of heart and soul. For encapsulation, Aligarh [Pin Code 202001] leaves an indelible mark on your mind, mind, and consciousness.

You want to visit it again.
