Self is a very interesting thing. What is even more fascinating is that many religions try to get their followers to abandon their self. Somehow express their concern that God will not appreciate it, because he is supreme and you are just One person, therefore, no. For many intellectuals, this seems to be just a strategy to maintain authority. Or ask for sacrifice and abandon "self" in the name of greater interest and another person's cause, the appointed clergy or pastor, or the church's pastor.
Interestingly, Ego doesn't seem to have any problems because it allows you to complete tasks and believe in yourself. Maintaining high self-esteem and high self-confidence gives individuals the confidence they need to accomplish and achieve. So, is the self the ultimate goal of human thinking? It's hard to say, but if you want to think about it, I can recommend a very good book to you. The name of this book is;
"Philosophy; the ultimate self", author: Harry Binswanger
In this book, it explores all of the potential themes of the self and rationalizes the need for the self and why it is so important. Even better, the author believes that the participation of philosophical thinking and the belief that people can understand, understand and solve problems in the field of philosophy can indeed become the ultimate self. This in itself is indeed a very interesting consideration.
One thing I liked Harry to comment on is that they seem to fit the theory of objectivism and the comments of my favorite capitalist philosopher Ian Rand. Indeed, I hope that you can consider all of this.
