The Nanticoke River is undoubtedly one of the best eastern river trout. On weekends, you will see championship fishermen from several states as the river fish is "large enough" to accommodate 50-150 vessel activities. I found that dividing the river into three basic parts can help the new fishermen here avoid being overwhelmed by the size of the river. These are the main rivers/Westford, the wide creek, and finally the Marshyhope Creek. Each of these areas has advantages and disadvantages for both the championship fishermen and the weekend fishermen.
Broad Creek
This creek is very popular, but there are too many "no wake up" areas between Phillips Landing and Laurel, which makes it difficult to "run" in tournaments. Broad Creek is more sheltered in high winds, usually with clearer water closer to Laurel.
