Psychological self-defense is a term used to describe someone's protection from serious psychological harm - basically preventing those who influence and manipulate people's minds from serving their own interests. Psychological self-defense encompasses a wide range of topics. From battered women to corporate marketing and commercial advertising to religious extremism. Basically anyone is trying to use a manipulation strategy to unconsciously influence your decision.
Psychological self-defense and vulnerability
We are all very susceptible to manipulation strategies because we are all human beings. However, some people are naturally more immune than others. Spiritual self-defense is designed to help protect individuals and families from being victims of deception, bankruptcy and death. Most of the descendants who claim to be God use many manipulation techniques to influence your consciousness and unconscious mind. If you can retreat without objective involvement and objectively geodeticize your argument, then you are one step closer to one person.
When a person or group promises to provide a demand or wants you to want him or her to be able to manipulate you. The type of requirements may include but is not limited to the following:
- Security and sense of belonging or community
- Sense of status in the team
- Connect or be intimate with others emotionally
Jim Jones and the People's Temple
Jim Jones and the People's Temple were built in the 1950s as church gatherings, including all social, economic and ethnic classes - rich, poor, black and white. Jim Jones openly accepts everyone to join his followers and hopes to provide racial integration and human rights for all. He also actively participated in protesting the atrocities committed by the police against blacks and visible minorities. Jim Jones is the first white man to adopt black children in Indianapolis. He is revered and loved by many followers as a signal of positive change and hope.
Missionary Jim Jones now asks you - a loyal member of his followers - to drink poison, kill yourself and your child to participate in a revolutionary suicide, what do you do? Of course, you don't drink poison because you know it's best not to hurt yourself or your child. However, on November 18, 1978, Jim Jones convinced 900 people [300 of them children] to drink cyanide-containing aroma and commit suicide in Jonestown, Guyana.
There are many people like Jim Jones in history, from the followers of the KKK, Mihara Shoko and David Berg and the Son of God. To the order of Joseph di Mambro and the Temple of the Sun and the Marshall Applewhite of the Gate of Heaven. Many of these cults use manipulation to influence followers to agree to rape children, murder, violence and suicide.
