When I work with new clients, I am always interested in why they choose to learn and use EFT. The answer is usually no, "I am very ill", "I am overweight", "I am procrastinating", or "I don't have enough money in my life", and so on. As a result, I changed a customer's question and changed the form to "What are your expectations for EFT?" #39; This ensures that the customer is paying attention to what she wants to accomplish rather than something that went wrong in her life. . Sometimes it's easier for us to focus on what we don't need in life, not what we want. We focus on lack of money, poor health or chronic pain, or we feel unhealthy after eating "comfortable" food.
When we make a definitive decision to focus on what we want, strong fear can make the necessary changes. For example, "If I have money, I have to be responsible", or "If I am healthy and energetic again, I will be expected to return to work and/or take care of the family" or "If I stop eating these cookies every night, I will have to face what is missing in my life."
One of the biggest responses I've experienced to the possibility of change is that if I don't have this _________________ [extra weight, lack of money, illness, pain, addiction, anger, injury, etc.], who am I going to be? This is a terrible consideration because it may well define our weight, illness, anger, etc. Who we became: our identity.
Recently, I worked with a client and we managed to eliminate some terrible childhood memories that made her no longer believe in herself. Then she considered, "I just want to know who I am without these memories." It's almost like some of her essence has been removed. I suggest that she might want to think about it with curiosity rather than fear, and we start applying EFT to everything she can think, feel, and realize, because she puts down those debilitating memories.
Our subconscious mind wants to protect our security and is very resistant to change. Therefore, even if the possibility of change is consciously exciting and new, the subconscious may do its utmost to keep us firmly in the present position, because it is safe and familiar now. The subconscious can maintain support for familiar things. This is called the secondary benefit syndrome. In other words, even if we consciously move forward, there are some benefits to maintaining the current state.
Fortunately, with EFT we have a tool that covers stubborn subconsciousness, and I usually advise my client to click on Karate Point [KC] and repeat the following three times:
"Although for some reason, some of my people don't want to give up _______________ [illness, weight, lack of money, anger, etc.], the bigger part I want is what I want. Accept myself."
The purpose of this is to neutralize the secondary benefit syndrome. Once cleared, we can periodically make an electronic transfer for the problem at hand.
When we use our restrictive beliefs, traumatic memory and pain, we shift our perspective and gently let our subconscious mind consider changing. Once the subconscious realizes that there is no benefit to sticking to it, it can change.
If you have a part that cannot recover from the disease for some reason, lose weight, gain financial freedom, etc., you may need to try the following EFT procedures. [Please note: I have used the disease as a problem, but you can replace it with any questions you are concerned about.] First, click on the word "reverse" [above], then click on the Karate point and say the following:
"Even if I don't know who I am, if I am healthy again, I still want to accept myself."
from
"Even if I am afraid of recovering because of their expectations of me, I have accepted myself deeply"
from
"Even if I get back to health again, I will lose my identity, but I should forgive my feelings."
Now tap the following location and say each of the following phrases:
o Head: I don't know who I am.
from
Eyebrows: Ill become my identity
from
o One side of the eye: Everyone accepts my role
from
o Eyes: If I recover, they will expect more of me
from
o Nose: I must restore my responsibility
from
o Chin: This is too much for me.
from
Clavicle: I feel threatened by the possibility of being changed
from
o Arm: I am afraid to change
from
o overhead: I want to enjoy the freedom that the whole health provides for me.
from
Eyebrows: I want to make a commitment to my treatment
from
o One side of the eye: I should feel safe enough to recover
from
o Eyes: I don't have to feel the need to change
from
o Nose: I choose to be curious about the possibility of change
from
o Chin: How exciting my life will be
from
Clavicle: I am curious about people who don't have this disease.
from
o arm: I should change now
After completing this round of recording, write down your feelings and any new ideas that appear, then click again if you need to change the word. Remember that the phrase you use is just a way to express your feelings outward. You don't need to be creative - just state your thoughts.
We have so many abilities, but our subconsciousness hinders us from moving forward. Fortunately, by applying EFT we can eliminate self-destruction, not only restore our health, but also move towards vitality and live the life we deserve.
