Middle ear infection remedy (otitis media)

In fact, prescription drugs may cause more damage to the treatment of middle ear infections. Fortunately, there are many natural middle ear infection remedies that you can use to boost your immune system, relieve earache, low hearing, gland swelling, fatigue and fever.

Here are some of my favorite middle ear infections that I use with my patients:

Essential oil
Warm a teaspoon of vegetable oil, such as olive oil, and add 3 drops of tea tree and 2 drops of lavender. Soak a piece of cotton wool and use it to plug the ear. You can also use massage oil around your ears, neck and cheeks. An effective massage oil combination is 1 drop of thyme, 3 drops of tea tree and 2 drops of lavender.

garlic
Garlic is very suitable for ear infections. Some of my elderly patients vowed to peel off a clove of garlic, wrap it in gauze, and place it in the affected ear overnight. You can put some olive oil in your ear to prevent any skin irritation. You can also drip some warm garlic oil or liquid garlic extract in your ears every 2-3 hours. If the eardrum is perforated, these middle ear infection remedies should not be used.

Improve your diet
An unbalanced diet and too much refined food can lead to toxin accumulation and bacterial growth. It is important to base your diet on fresh fruits and vegetables, quality protein, natural oils and small amounts of whole grains.

Homeopathy
Iron phosphate and potassium chloride are good middle ear infection treatments that can reduce inflammation and mucus in the ear.

Herbal medicine
Antibacterials such as olive leaves, echinacea and gold prints are powerful middle ear infections that help reduce bacteria and viruses in the ears.

heat
The hot compress on the affected ear, hot pack or thermos can alleviate the pain of the ear infection in the ear.

Lift the bed
Lift the head of the bed or crib to help the ear tube drain naturally. Children rarely complain about ear pain during the day because they are upright and the pipes are freely drained. When they lie down at night, the tube will be full, causing pain

Drink more water
The swallowing action helps the ear tube to open and drain, so drinking a lot of liquid - preferably warm or hot - can help.

Use evaporator or steamer
It is also helpful to use the evaporator in the room at night. This will help keep the air moist and promote the thinning of the liquid in the ear.

N-acetylcysteine
One of my favorite middle ear infections is N-acetylcysteine, a natural amino acid supplement that helps reduce the severity of ear infections. It has been shown to help keep mucus and help the ears drain. It is recommended to use 200 mg twice a day as a starting point.

cold
For some people who are prone to ear infections after a cold, it may be worthwhile to treat the cold with immune-enhancing nutrients, herbs, vaporizers and, if necessary, decongestants [especially at night].

Vitamins and minerals
Immune enhancing nutrients such as vitamins A, C, E and zinc are important middle ear infection therapies for the treatment and prevention of ear infections.

Treating allergy
Allergy is one of the main predisposing factors for ear infections. When you or your child's respiratory tract is blocked by mucus in an allergic reaction, the ear is more susceptible to infection. Dairy products, wheat and eggs are the most common food allergens, but environmental allergens such as dust mites, animal hair and pollen may also be a problem.
