Make your writing suitable for battle - comments

Institutionalization! Peel it off! eliminate! protruding!

It sounds like a college cheer. RAH! RAH! RAH-RAH-RAH!

In fact, it is more than just a college cheer. This is a well-written way for professional editors. Even Asimov and Hemingway have editors. In fact, without their editors, they would not be widely acclaimed writers.

I don't think I'm a good writer, but I know that I see so many bad writings online. I hope everyone has Audrey's own elbows, forcing them to write better.

Although we can't fully capture Audrey's time, we can review the editorial skills she shared so generously with us in "Let your writing fight fit." In eleven lively chapters, she turned us from sloppy to sublime. This is part of her editorial philosophy, keeping it alive: "Lean, writing means sharpening the reader" [p. 6].

First Audrey checks the elements that the editor is looking for when completing the editing task. Things like words, sentences, paragraphs and chapters - all good, bad and really ugly.

She then shared her seven-step quick assessment process. This is how you and I create writing that flows with zing. We only need two pages of projects, we set a timer to limit us. Then, as the circle and X rotate, looking for very specific items, our writing shows strength and vitality. It's all done in a few minutes.

For example, one step in her writing success is to read only the first sentence of each paragraph. Read so much, does writing convey a general idea? This should be. The first sentence is very important. If not, it is the field of writing that you need to pay attention to.

One of Audrey's editing skills is to give sentence and paragraph length and structural diversity. Mix it up, she calls it.

Like here.

This is a great editing system. For most writers, it is clear, straightforward, fast and very feasible.

Remember that "editing" is not "writing." "Editing" is the reason for enhancing our "writing". You can benefit from editing before you start, you need to start with solid writing. Your thoughts need to be there, made up of reasonable sentences and paragraphs.

Then do your own writing through Audrey's seven-step editing process and bingo! You have a lot of essays.
