John Akii-Bua, Judith Ayaa and Vitus Ashaba: 1972 Olympics Track and Field Invitational

The pre-Olympic meeting in 1972 and the upcoming Olympics adjustment were held in West Germany in mid-August. Excellent athletes from many countries arrived in Munich about ten days before the 1972 Olympic Games. The track and field competition spanning two days is also known as the "Hans-Brown Memorial International Pre-Olympic Invitational Tournament". The praiseworthy Ugandan athletes are hurdler, sprinter and top ten all-around athlete John Akii-Bua; sprinter Judith Ayaa, and obstacle course and middle distance runner Vitus Ashaba.

The game is over. The 22-year-old Akii-Bua may relax and take his time to carefully avoid the danger of athletes being vulnerable to injury, rather than the specialization of the 400-meter hurdle, but settle in the 400-meter apartment.
