Improve self-esteem

We all want to improve our self-esteem because we want to be more active towards ourselves. Here are some of the improvements you need to know.

Americans care more about self-esteem than other cultures, in part because we have many personal success symbols in society. These symbols are our house, car, clothes, holidays, jewelry, and even preparatory schools for children. Although this seems privileged, it is part of our culture. If this is your standard, the external success object will have an impact on self-esteem. However, over time, these external measures often mean less because we understand their limited value.

As a therapist for more than 35 years, I have many opportunities to improve my self-esteem, especially for people with depression. First of all, I want to define self-esteem as an attitude that is completely controlled by you. This is a way of understanding yourself and the world. If this attitude was established in childhood, that is where I want to start. So, see if you can determine when it starts, which is a great help for understanding reasons. It usually comes from over-stressed parents, not the result of anything you do.

Origin

Awareness of negative emotional causes, such as the deterioration of parents or siblings, helps us understand our feelings. Just because someone else blames you, there is no reason to blame yourself. Some of us may have had poisonous people in the past, and we may have to accept and move on. We must release the feelings of the past so that we can move forward in a healthy way.

You may not realize how amazing you are before listing all the abilities, skills and attributes. This is a written exercise as you will continue to add it. I would like to see a long list, even the smallest hit, such as making a bed in the morning, or just being polite to people. Fill in the page and secure it to the fridge to remind you.

Relationship

Do you know that we have taken the attitude of people around us? It is very important to take a step back and assess how positive our relationship is. Sometimes, we may retain old friends because of obligations or responsibilities, but this may not be a good idea. Ask yourself, is your friend or family treating you like you? This exercise includes listing all the people we know and assigning positive values ​​to everyone.

Accept yourself

We are not perfect, that's okay. Accepting the unique flaws of yourself and others is the reason why objects are interesting. Accepting the attitudes of others often increases their acceptance of you. Change Movement: Every time you meet people, you can decide to say something positive to people. Don't be surprised if they start doing this to increase your self-esteem.

Jealousy

This happens when others are considered to be better to some extent. People who spend too much time on social media tend to feel this way. Men especially tend to compete at different levels, which makes people feel uncomfortable. So don't let yourself be in a state of victory or failure, don't worry about what others are doing. Be sure to set your own goals for you. Self-esteem is based on our satisfaction with ourselves, not others.

Creative visualization

Before you get up in the morning, lie there and imagine [psychological image] how active or effective you will be that day. If you have an interview, imagine how it will develop and how active and confident you will be. If you haven't done so before, you may be surprised by how the behavior follows pre-consideration.
