This is a big problem in the Australian Capital Territory, as the Greyhound industry is preparing to challenge the government to disband it. The question is whether it constitutes a sport or business that uses innocent animals and makes them suffer. Another agenda for working here is to combat gambling in the country. People cannot see the support of the racing industry and reject other forms of the racing industry.
The feeling in the political arena is that people spend a lot of money on things like poker machines and other forms of gambling. Many addicted people have become homeless or therefore dependent on charities and so on. When the secret camera was filmed live during the training course, there was a cruelty to the gray dog business.
The animals in these images are rabbits, kittens and possums, which are eventually torn into pieces. It was driven on a machine and driving at high speed on the track at the speed of a group of hot dogs...
