Rock Lake is a few miles west of Pilot Mound, Manitoba. It was made by intercepting the Pembine River.
Coincidentally, you can also fish at the dam. The dam is not big, but it is a beautiful little spot. Most fish have cow heads, but they can provide some fun. Rock Lake itself has been released twice. One can be found at the eastern end of the lake and the other at the western end of the lake. The launch at the eastern end is quite shallow. No dock - you put the boat back into the water. The area around the launch is also ideal for fishing from the shore. Most of the catches from the shore are pike, and the lake has some rather large and vibrant lakes. Because the lake is surrounded by large rocks, you can walk along the coast and find a good fishing spot. Another launch was at the western end of the lake.
