Exercise and exercise - exercise to modify past 40 years old

If you are 40 or older, you may want to know what this means for your workout plan. Can you still do your training? Or do you need to make adjustments?

As you age, there is no doubt that the body will undergo specific changes. If you want to stay active during these years, you need to modify it a bit. The good news is that if you stay healthy, you don't need to adjust because your body stays in good shape.

Let's take a look at some of the changes you want to consider...

1. The total volume is reduced. from

First, consider reducing how much volume you are doing. Although you may have been able to do four groups before each practice, you may want to limit it to three groups now. As long as you push these three, you should still see good results.

As you get older, your resilience is not as good as it used to be, so a lot of programs may make you a bit too much.

2. Practice selection. from

Next, consider your exercise options. You want to do everything possible to protect your joints, so choose a joint friendly action. For example, leg stretching tends to be very hard on your knees, so you may prefer something like a leg press.

Or instead of going to exercise for aerobics, try using a stationary machine. These small adjustments will keep you feeling painless for the next few months.

3. Functional exercise. from

As you get older, your goals may change. Although you may have been very focused on the aesthetics of things before, now you may be more interested in making sure that you can keep up with your favorite activities over time. Therefore, you want to focus more on functional fitness: this means choosing exercises to perform in your daily life to best mimic the sport patterns you use in your daily activities. If you do this, you should be able to keep up with everything you do.

If you keep these three minor adjustments in your course and focus on learning to read your body and all its charges, you should be fine and remain active for many years to come.
