The Cannington Greyhound Race Track is only about 10 km from Perth city centre. It is considered to be the main track of the Perth dog. The other dog farms in Perth are Mandurah and Northam Parks.
The game at Cannington Park is considered by many to be the best game in the Greyhound business. The competitions are held at different distances, from 297 meters to 530,642 and even as far as 715 and 744 meters. The track has a total circumference of 446.5 meters, a radius of 51 meters and a width of 6 meters.
Cannington Greyhound Racing Park was founded in 1974 and has since been under the supervision of the Western Australian Greyhound Racing Association. The dog track can also accommodate the first group of events, which are held twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
