Book Review - Current Power Eckhart Tolle

"The power of the present" is one of the most popular books on my bookshelf. Eckhart Tolle takes us on our journey, our focus on life and broadens our understanding of the moment. Find out why his second book, "New Earth," has appeared on Oprah's book list, and why this book has become a bestseller list and has entered the hearts of millions of people.

Summary

Eckhart Tolle's book is a means of attracting readers into their own and their new sense of reality, as Eckhart himself said "giving us a taste of enlightenment."

The book follows a question-and-answer format, and Tolle encourages readers to read frequently, to calm down the content and raise awareness.

"The Power of the Present" was published in 1997. In 2000, it reached the bestseller list in New York and sold more than 3 million copies in English.

more details

The book begins with Tolle to describe his own journey of self-transformation, a process that begins when he is 29 years old. His strong spiritual experience made him have a strong understanding of the present moment.

He then detailed the nature of the mind and the fact that almost everyone has heard the sound in their minds, the involuntary and often repetitive thinking process of the mind. For those who read this book, this may be the first time they realize that the above process has happened. For others, knowing that they are not the only ones who have experienced this kind of voice may be just a relief!

Tolle explains how our thinking is accustomed to thinking and focusing on the past and the future, rather than appearing here and now. He encourages and provides advice on how to learn more about our current experience, for example by simply listening to the inner voice without judging. This "witness" allows the observer to realize that it is just a voice and we don't have to agree with it.

About the author
