Book Review - by Debra Webb

This is not your typical romantic suspense. Oh no, not a long shot. It is tough, it is taught, it will make you guess the end.

Fifteen years ago, our hero Carson Tanner suffered a major proportion of personal tragedy. This incident made him a staunch and very successful assistant district prosecutor whose main goal was to get the bad guys into trouble. He divides people into two categories; there are no good or bad shades of gray. Until he met Anne Baxter, a thorough and complete anti-female protagonist. In order to come up with this role, I have to give Ms. Weber props. You can't believe how she will turn this story into a romantic suspense [emphasis on romance]. Our heroine is definitely a category of bad guys.

Despite the hardships of life, our heroine Anne reversed the situation for herself and rose in politics and social circles. She did not enter the world through birth or hard work, she did it in some of the most embarrassing ways. In fact, she is as embarrassed as the politician who manages the city. However, she is building. She knew and decided to attack first. This is where Carson comes in. Mr. "obeying the law" found himself in a conspiracy. This conspiracy not only revealed his existence, but also revealed the structure he had adhered to for the past fifteen years. In fact, there is a primitive, sexual, and tenacious tension between Carson and Anne, probably because they are the exact opposite. But the author took it to a new level, and the reader actually sympathized with Anne and what she had to do to do it in the world. No apologies, the author did not try to sugar it. Once again, the world has many shades of gray.

One of the key emotional nodes is that everyone has their own breakthrough point. You discover the breakthrough point of each character through a series of complicated crosses and double crosses.

Ms. Weber knows how to create a conspiracy that draws you through good descriptive dialogue and teaching suspense. In the relationship of the characters, she developed a complex and complex level, slowly revealing the mystery.

If you like conspiracy theories, like me, this will be a hard book that is hard to understand.
