Why is pasta called pasta?

Everyone knows pizza, but how much do you really know about Italian food...?

For example, have you ever asked yourself "Why is spaghetti called pasta?"

We all ate spaghetti sauce at least once, we haven't...?

Given that the long slippery noodles are not so easy to eat, this is not surprising.

If you pack too much stuff around your fork, they will quickly pile up into a dumpling of wool balls, and no one can stuff it into your mouth without causing damage.

If you eat too little, they will slide back to the plate in an instant.

If you bend them deeply on your plate [not very elegant but acceptable], you can be sure that the last end of the sauce spills the sauce over the entire table and then finishes in its mouth.

Real fun, although there are children from the table...

Of course, everyone knows very little about Italian cooking, and know that pasta [and all other pastas] must be cooked with "al dente" [bite bite], which means they must be inconsistent when they are served porridge Time.

So far, we can say that we have learned a lot about spaghetti.

But you also know why pasta is called spaghetti?

If you don't know the answer, you might find it and look at the Italian dictionary.

Spaghetto is an abbreviation for Italian spago [packthread, cord, string], derived from the Latin spacus.

This means that the pasta is just a serial

PS but this is an additional problem. Why do Italians write pasta?

how about you? do you know......?
