Soup, type and style

Do you know the difference?

  • soup
  • Casserole
  • Stew
  • Hot drink?
I define soup as a liquid food prepared by boiling a combination of vegetables, meat, fish and seasonings.

Soup as the first part of dinner is usually used as an appetizer, but depending on the type of soup, it can also be used as a focus of dinner, supplementing bread or toast.

Soups are also used for medicinal purposes as a means of providing nutritious meals that are easy to digest.

Type of soup

Clear soup

The broth is made with carefully prepared ingredients and seasoned with meat or vegetables. The main varieties of clear soup are broth and clear soup.

Thick soup

The soup is also made from stock, but added with milk or cream, vegetables, eggs, rice or cereal thickened. The soup can be very similar to stews or stews and can form the basis of a meal.

Broth

The broth is made from a clear soup base. The broth can be a thin soup, but more commonly they are made from vegetables, rice or barley and served as a side food portion of the meal.

CREAM SOUPS

Creamy soup like a creamy potato soup recipe is smooth, tasting and highly nutritious. Usually, in order to make a cream soup, the ingredients are mixed after cooking, and a small amount [about one cup] of cream or milk is folded into a soup. When reheating the cream soup, I always have to be careful not to cook the soup.

Thick soup

Small pieces are usually rich and thick, made from kipper or shellfish [lobster, shrimp or crab].

Chowder

Seafood is usually the basis of chowder and is complemented by vegetables and biscuits or fried croutons.

Puree

A puree is a smooth mixture made by mixing the ingredients after the cooking process. Puree is not as thick as cream soup

Soup is indeed a versatile form of nutrition and definitely requires more praise than usual!
