It is about the same as our brain. As exploratory tools evolve, our ability to analyze and understand the complexities of the brain is increasing. Neurologists have discovered previously unknown property, such as humans having 1000 different types of nerve cells, just like the 1000 different tree species in the rainforest.
Understand how things work, reflect on why they exist, theorization of possible interpretations of unclear experience, and then test proof or rebuttal theory is called the learning cycle: experience > reflection > theorization > experiment. This scientific interpretation of the learning process may seem oversimplified, but still represents the cognitive steps that occur when we learn.
