The local Fort Lauderdale chef/writer Michael Bennett wrote a Caribbean-style recipe in his multi-year "island". Chef Bennett is the executive chef of the Bimini Boatyard in Fort Lauderdale; his first book, titled "On the Land of Pirates, Sufferings and Chefs," is the first-hand "lifestyle" of the Caribbean.
Bennett coined the term "Caribb-ican" between Caribbean and American-style food production. In order to stimulate people's taste, and try new cooking methods and innovative ingredients, become new again. Chef Bennett leads the readers on a fun food tour on many of the Caribbean islands, showing you a little bit of ingenuity, and you can inspire your taste buds through the passion that Mother Nature has already given us.
The recipes are easy to read, easy to understand and easy to prepare. The book is designed with simplicity in mind to appeal to the most new home chefs while attracting experienced chefs. These ingredients are easily available at your local grocery store, making this exciting cooking style readily available without too many plans, except when you shop with a list of ingredients. On most pages there are sidebars that highlight cooking tips, preparation tips and "internal information" as it relates to changes in healthy eating and preparation of dishes. In the home of pirates, Misfits and Cooks can buy Egypt's Bimini Shipyard in Fort Lauderdale at foodbrats.com.
