"But I am not a real artist, I am just hunting, I am just playing..."
As a creative coach, I often hear this. Ironically, it is often said by creative people that they generate more ideas and creative projects every month, and that the average person will be here for a year, ten years or even forever.
The common misconception is that as a "right", "real" or "real" artist, you must meet a strict set of standards that pays anyone who believes in it.
What do you think you need to do to be a "real" artist?
Maybe a real painter, for example, do you think you have to show your paintings in galleries around the world? Maybe you think you have to create a new masterpiece every other day? Maybe you think you should sell your work for tens of thousands of pieces each?
Look at the facts. How many people are we creating these standards? a small part. This does not mean that what we create is not worth it. This does not mean that our art does not really touch those who experience it. This does not mean that creation is less important in our personality and everyday life.
We only consider creative behaviors that can be easily packaged and defined as "art." Like a painting, a novel or a song.
Creativity is more than just making the art we can package and define.
How is your dress? How about the food you prepared and enjoyed? What about the parties that you organized and arranged in those days? Are they not all creative acts? So how many different relationships do you have, are they creating great creativity and commitment?
Of course, that is your greatest creative project. Your life! The way you think, talk, and experience life. All of these are actions of great creative effort.
Imagine if you want, a life that is absolutely uncreative. You will soon realize that this is impossible. Creativity begins with a tiny thought. You can't think about it, look at things you haven't seen before, and do things you haven't done before.
Your life is your creative masterpiece, composed of thousands of small and important ideas and actions.
Yes, creating art and expressing your creativity, exploration, development and discovery in a variety of ways is very important. I encourage you to do this as much as possible. Don't ignore the details in your life, don't think it's because you don't have hundreds of paintings hanging in the gallery, and you don't have every bookstore filled with novels that you don't have.
Be proud of your creativity in all forms. Be bold and confident and become the most creative person. You know you can...
