Ham and bean soup recipe There is a unique flavor that brings a new flavor, leaving a taste in your mouth that makes you want more.
So take a deep breath of fresh air, because from here on, it will be a smoking day with delicious rewards.
You will need to:
1 lb bag of dried big northern beans
1 Hickory smoked ham
2 teaspoons of Wright's liquid smoke "pecan flavor" [found in the condiment aisle]. I chose Wrights smoked seasoning because the only ingredient added is water, which does not have that chemical taste.
1 teaspoon mustard powder
2 carrots peeled, cube
1 large red onion, peeled and chopped
2 garlic cloves, peeled, crushed / chopped
3 fresh tomatoes, chopped and diced
1 celery stem, chopped
5 C. Chicken Soup
3 C. Water
1/4 C. fresh parsley, chopped
1 month leaf
1 teaspoon white pepper
Optional: from
1 C. Cubic Ham
First, you need to soak the beans for 12 hours, I prefer to soak them overnight.
This helps
- Greatly reduced the cooking time of beans
- Retain nutrients
- Reduce the amount of non-digestible complex sugar that produces "gas."
After soaking the Big North Bean, tighten and rinse the beans.
3. Add Dabeidou, 5 cups of chicken soup, 3 cups of water, 1 pecan smoked ham, carrots, parsley, tomatoes and 1 piece of bay leaf to the cauldron.
If you decide to use the optional Chooped ham, you should add it now.
4. Heat to boiling, then reduce the heat and stew for about 30 minutes.
5. After boiling for about 20 minutes, heat the large frying pan with medium heat. Add chopped garlic, red onion, celery and 2 teaspoons of Wright's "Hickory Style" liquid smoke. Stir fry for 5 minutes.
6. Now add the contents of the frying pan to the cauldron, add 1 teaspoon of dried mustard powder and 1 teaspoon of white pepper and mix well for 45 minutes. Stir occasionally.
note: from
You can take the ham out of the ham and send it back. Ham and bean soup from
If you don't use chopped ham. I prefer this method.
Now in order to complete the last touch of ham and bean soup.
Stir well and perform a mouthfeel test. What does it need? salt? More peppers? If you think it's added now.
