"You can't see or hear the best, the best things - you must feel them with your heart." - Helen Keller
I have worked with many children and adults who have been diagnosed with severe nonverbal autism. They told me that a sense of merger would make language barriers based on linear thinking obsolete. As the mutual flow of ideas stands out, subconscious awareness emerges. Unconditional love, trust and expectations of ability open this channel. Established a sense of balance. We are in communion. By connecting with the soul, our personal perceptual reality becomes entangled. I speculate that Annie Sullivan and Helen Keller have similar connections.
Helen had a typical sensory experience before 18 months of age. At that time, she had a fever. The age of onset is similar to that reported by parents, who say that children with autism develop normally and suddenly degenerate. Helen's typical sensory process was disrupted due to her illness, loss of hearing and vision.
Helen failed before Anne Sullivan appeared. I saw the relationship between Helen's journey and her relationship with Annie Sullivan and some of the children I worked with. This catalytic relationship is both shy and awesome.
Many of the students I work with show atypical sensing, such as telepathy. According to Dennett's [1998] article "Helen Keller: Does the blind genius have a perception that transcends normality?" The relationship between Helen and Annie is considered to have super-sensory elements. I speculate that Anne and Helen blended consciousness. Perhaps synchronizing brainwaves and sensory systems is the initial "key" to unlock Helen's understanding. I suspect that I join the child with consciousness and serious autism. I suspect that Helen and Anne also have a sense of integration. Perhaps this fusion helps Helen to experience information through Anne's sensory system? Lawrence Hutton said. "Miss Sullivan tells us that there is no conscious movement, no intentional or perceptible." She can let the child follow her own thoughts, do what she wants her to do, go to her hopes. Where she went, performing any "thinking reading" behavior that professional psychologists showed on stage or in an amateur manner.
I have many children who choose words or pictures that I send to them in telepathic form. I also asked students to enter letters and words individually according to my ideology. I also have students with limited oral ability who say what I have sent through telepathy.
According to Dennett, Sullivan said: "The development of Helen Keller tells me that the loss of one or more departments may drive the disabled to a deeper level of willpower than is required by normal equipment personnel. I have no doubt that most people live within a very limited range of their potential abilities. They only use a small fraction of the possible power and resources of their thoughts. Just like all their physical furniture, they should only use each a small part of the feeling."
I agree with Anne's point of view. The typical people, no matter how extreme their cultural differences, will share the perceived reality based on their sensory information. When a person has an atypical sensory experience, it naturally forms a different perceptual reality. This will certainly change the ability to perceive reality and interact with the world.
The article mentions the wonderful meeting between Mark Twain and Helen and Anne: "Annie asked, what is the reputation of Mr. Clemens?" Helen replied in a disappointing speech: "Because of his humor . Mark Twain said modestly, ' and for his wisdom. Helen immediately said the same thing, "and his wisdom. "Twain said:" I think this is a telegraph because she can't know what I said. I have experienced instant knowledge with students. The short-term expectation often leads to an immediate reaction.
The article quotes Helen as saying: "I have always believed that the power of many animals can develop beyond physical consciousness. It is gratifying that orthodox scientists are beginning to seek other reasons than mechanical reasons. Explain telepathy... Of course, If a creature without reasoning ability can exhibit such a miracle, a person with mental and intellectual ability can realize a phenomenon that cannot be explained by a mechanism, but still wait for the law to be discovered.
People with severe autism prove to me that they have developed their senses beyond normal. They are more exposed to the subconscious knowledge and the spiritual aspects of life. Their souls are not fully integrated into their bodies. This lack of integration puts the soul in a unique position, unlike those who are fully integrated, leading to greater connection with the subconscious or spiritual self. Lack of foundation makes the body uncertain how to guide itself in the physical world. It seems that in a state of dreams, it is difficult for individuals to control or classify ideas. However, knowledge itself is enormous, covering the natural understanding of the universal truths lost by more integrated individuals.
The artist and sculptor Gutzon Borglum mentioned in the article wrote about his meeting with Helen Keller. "I will never forget the moment with Helen Keller... I learned the soul from above, above the body, There are eyes." I also have the same understanding when working with some serious autistic children and adults. Some people even seem to even guide their bodies from the outside.
According to this article, Helen seems to have a profound physical experience. Helen said, "I have been sitting quietly in the library for half an hour. I turned to my teacher and said: ' something so strange happened! I have been very far away, I have not left the room." "You What does it mean, Helen?" she asked in surprise. "Why," I cried. "I have been to Athens." When a bright and amazing realization seems to grab my thoughts and ignite it, my There are almost no such words in the mouth. I have noticed the authenticity of my soul and the pure independence of all places and physical conditions. I know it well because I am a spirit, I vividly "see" and feel a thousand miles away. Space doesn't matter to the spirit! In that new consciousness shines on the existence of God, his own soul is everywhere, and the Creator lives in all places and the universe appears at the same time. "
In my experience, my response to the final offer is AMEN! My student, actually my teacher, has been patiently guiding me towards this kind of consciousness.
It seems that Helen is ultimately completely independent of Annie, working in this world, without giving up the gift of telepathy, thought sharing, remote viewing or spiritual connection. I hope that one day, people with autism who are not linguistically will do the same thing.
