Delicious history of chocolate truffles

Chocolate truffles have been around for a long time, helping the world's discerning tastes and bringing delicious cocoa to children and adults.

The modern chocolate industry we know began to survive in 1828, when the invention of the cocoa press made it possible to extract natural fat from cocoa beans. Today, this fat is better known as cocoa butter, a delicious by-product of the interior of cocoa beans.

The cocoa press is a big breakthrough because it allows candy makers to create a solid chocolate bar for the first time. The first sturdy chocolate candy was produced by Fry in 1847 in Bristol, England. These sturdy chocolate "bars" were immediately successful in the British public and soon after export in Europe, the Americas and Asia.

The first solid chocolate is made by mixing cocoa powder and sugar with newly developed cocoa butter and special flavors such as vanilla. Later, in 1879, the Swiss began to produce their own unique chocolate brand. Swiss entrepreneur HenriNestlé has developed an exclusive formula called "milk chocolate" by combining new solid chocolate with powders made from dehydrated milk and sugar.

Nestlé's new milk chocolate is an instant sales phenomenon that quickly spurred many imitators around the world. For example, in the United States, Hershey began producing a very similar milk chocolate that many people believe was developed through the "reverse engineering" famous Nestle chocolate bars. In any case, Hersey's milk chocolate is very popular in North America, and it remains the same today.

But it returned to France, and Nestle's milk chocolate had the biggest impact. Experiments by French chocolate producers led to the development of Ganath, the core of modern truffles. Ganache is a super smooth combination of solid chocolate and cream with a velvety liquid texture. Chocolate truffles are made with this dessert and are often seasoned with other ingredients such as dark chocolate, white chocolate, cocoa, almonds or other chopped nuts.

Although truffles originated in France, they quickly became popular throughout Europe, North America, and even the Far East. Even the name "Truffle" is French, meaning "small mushroom." The name of the dessert is because their shape is very similar to the wild mushrooms in the French forest.

Since then, French chocolate truffles have become the best and most luxurious candy. In fact, in France, truffles are taken seriously and there is a game every year to judge the best of the country. In many French chocolate production plants, the finest and freshest ingredients are still used exclusively for truffles.

Today, there are many different types of truffles to choose from, but so far the original chocolate truffles are still the best delicacies.
