You are still being cheated, Russ Kick [ed.], 2009, ISBN 9781934708071
This is a remixed version of a previously published book that contains articles on various topics that are not covered by mainstream media. Something here will make almost everyone feel depressed or offended.
Howard Zinn tells the story of true Christopher Columbus. Alex Jones talks about the upcoming North American alliance. John McCain and he tried to cover up the problem of prisoners of war in the Vietnam War. R. Crumb contributed a graphic novel to the religious experience of sci-fi writer Philip K. Dick. Jim Mars explored the reasons why the Iraqi government tried to ban Blackwater. There is a climax through shackles and a fragment of the unconscious roots of the drug war. Other articles in this book re-evaluate the "official" version of the Oklahoma City bombings and the cover-up of the murder of former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.
The titles of some of these articles are very obvious. For example, there are AA lies [all about alcoholic anonymity]; American amnesia; information arms race; about the company's truth; cheap, lame food = obese population; chemicals are killing you; drug war myths; we are war The drums are silent; NutraFear and Nutra are registered in Augusta, Georgia; pharmaceutical crimes and misdemeanors; Martin Luther King you don't see TV and fear, and lie on the land of 2012.
As I said, there is something for everyone. It does a great job of exposing readers to many different topics. For anyone who wants to work through the mass media version of the world and get a "real" story, start here. highly recommended.
