Our family car went there. My husband is driving. This is a trip from Istanbul overnight. I stayed awake for a few hours and finally fell asleep. When I woke up in the morning, we entered Goreme and I was deeply impressed by what I saw.
At first, I thought I was still dreaming - of course it only took some time - but when I realized that it was true, I was very surprised by the beauty of the geographical shape of Cappadocia. Especially tall fairy chimneys.
I have seen a lot of photos and think that I know what to expect from me, but in fact it is much more beautiful than I thought. In fact, the word "different" is ' will better explain my emotions. It's not like any other place I see on Earth - I travel a lot - I have seen many very beautiful places, Cappadocia is also very beautiful, but not more beautiful than other places, but very different. On the first day we didn't participate in any tour - although we were able to participate in the tour for free - we were sure we could spend more time getting free and my husband is a Turk he should be familiar with this system - this is my first time in Turkey Year - but at the end of the day we were a bit disappointed.
I should admit that getting freedom is not that boring, because every form of Cappadocia is impressive. The problem is that we realize that without a guide explaining our history, it doesn't make sense. We sent another three days by participating in a small group trip. This is worth it. But another warning, if you want to take a balloon trip, even in the summer, bring a jacket. Cold weather!
