Book Review - Heridi Herman's Heart of Viking

Heidi Herman's "The Heart of Viking" is a fascinating story about love, loss, betrayal and redemption, because a woman discovers family secrets that change everything she knows.

When Anna Miller's father was killed less than two years after his mother's death, Anna found herself alone in the world. Returning to her home, Anna had a difficult task of organizing and cleaning up her parents. property. When she encountered some mysterious documents in her father's research, she was confused but very interesting. In order to complete her father's research, Anna began a period of history, bringing her back to generations in history to World War II. When she began to unveil the mystery of her family, her research took her to a small town in Wyoming. It was in this small town that she met a handsome rancher named Logan Harris, who awakened the emotions that had not been excited in her for a long time. As Anna gets closer to discovering the truth about her family secrets, she realizes that this may be at the expense of her personal happiness.

It's been a while since I've read such a fascinating story. Episode line, settings, characters - I found all the elements equally satisfying. This is a balanced narrative with a lot of development that keeps the story moving forward, with enough surprises to transform the expectations and just the right drama, romance and conspiracy to keep readers engaged.

Characters are easily associated with their roles and situations and feel real. I experienced a direct impact on Anna - her emotions jumped off the page because she was forced to deal with a problem that people could not imagine unless they had already worn these shoes. Her personality brought out my mother's instinct because I wanted to give her a hug that only the mother could give her, and hope to take over and fix things for her! Not that she needs anyone to fix anything for her. Capable, flexible and strong, I really like to invest in Anna, standing in her corner and letting her take root when she unveils the mystery. I especially like to watch her evolve in the story because she reassessed the important things in her life.

"Her Viking Heart" is the first story Heidi Herman has read, but it will not be the last story. She is a natural storyteller who can easily take readers to another time and place. This is a very interesting reading, I highly recommend it to fans of contemporary novels, with subtle romantic elements, a good puzzle and enough twists to keep readers alert.
