Bodybuilding Tips - After eating honey, exercise

Many bodybuilders use maltodextrin or glucose to complete the energy required for 60 to 120 minutes of weight and cardio training. These carbohydrate sources were chosen because of their slow-burning properties, which help manage blood sugar levels after exercise. However, many bodybuilders soon discovered that honey is a good alternative and has some additional benefits.

Honey, like glucose, is well-suited for increasing insulin levels in this very small anabolic growth window in a protein shake after exercise. Not only does it provide a different taste [always a plus in what we call the body of bodybuilding nutrition], but the body can actually extend this anabolic window for a longer period of time and also make it burn slowly. Honey should not replace dextrose as your main post-exercise carbohydrate source. After all, nearly half of the calories come from fructose, and the taste of carbohydrates often turns into fat. But it is a viable option...
