Stepfather's Story - Sergeant Philip Harrison

High school's statewide guard James Tony won a basketball scholarship to play in the Seton Hall. James struggles with drug addiction. In 1973, when his son was still a baby, he was sentenced to jail for possessing drugs. When he was released, James agreed to give up his father's right to visit, let his son's stepfather Philip A. Harrison and his mother Lucille.

At the age of 21, his stepchild wrote: "21 years ago, when my mother needed someone, Philip Harrison was the man... my father joined the army when I was two years old, so He can also let us get out of here." I was born two years before my parents got married. "In an interview, he said, "It's just because you bring a child into the world, it won't make you a father. "

Sergeant Hargerson watched his stepfather leave home for the first day of school. He is the one who advises his elementary school art work on the refrigerator. Sergeant Harrison is the one who trains his stepchild. He saw his first basketball dunk. Sergeant Harrison has traditionally moved his family to Wildlflecken [Bavaria], Germany, where he served as a drill instructor. Even after entering his Stevenson life, his stepchildren have a habit of showing up and getting into trouble.

The life of his stepchildren is very difficult, but historically, Sergeant Harrison can help him reverse his route. While living in Germany, he continued to rebel [fight, beat the teacher, brake the car, etc.], hoping he could be sent back to the United States. Sergeant Harrison ended the dream and told his stepchildren. "Look, son, now what is important for you, I will not let them send you back. If you don't listen to me, I will defeat your ass. Every day. ..... single... one day."

Sergeant Harrison's stepchild continues to play basketball at the University and the NBA. Here are some highlights and awards from his son's career:

  • NBA Rookie of the Year [1993]
  • 4 NBA championships [2000, 2001, 2002 and 2006]
  • 3 times NBA Finals MVP [2000-2002]
  • NBA Most Valuable Player [2000]
  • Gold Medal [Atlanta 1996]

During his game day, he experienced many nicknames: Superman, Big Cactus, Diesel or Big Clover. Now retired from basketball, Shaquille O&#Ne; or Shaq is one of the most dominant players in NBA history. In addition to his basketball career, Shaquille O'Neal has released four rap albums, his first platinum record. He also appeared in several movies and starred in his reality show. Shaquille is currently an analyst on the TV show "Inside the NBA."

Because of his stepfather's influence and military background, Shaquille O'Neill made public service a priority in his life. His services range from donations from charities and organizations across the country to reserve police in Los Angeles, Miami and Phoenix. As for his career in law enforcement, "I am not a hero. My [one step] father is the hero of my growth."
