On Thursday, December 6, 2007, the Oasis Resort and Casino in Mesquite, Nevada, James "JT" Thomas, the former linebacker of West Virginia Climber, will be named to the Little League Football News Hall of Fame.

Thomas's nomination was reviewed by MLFN's board of directors and received his acceptance notice on July 30th.

"It's a great honour to get this award," Thomas said. "For many years, I am very grateful to everyone for supporting me."

Thomas's strong leadership, unremitting professional ethics and passion for the game have become the driving force for the development and promotion of small leagues and semi-professional football in the Midwest.

The story of JT Thomas's football career can be divided into three different chapters: players, coaches and executives. Thomas's college career began in 1992 at Fort Scott Community College [Kansas]. After the sophomore season, Thomas transferred to West Virginia University [WVU].
