Improve foot health - wearable and comfortable shoes

The foot is a fascinating part of the body; one reason is because there are 26 bones on the foot, which is a quarter of all the bones in our body. It is a delicious part of our body and an incredibly powerful and resilient part. These delicate bones are held together by muscles and ligaments that work in conjunction with the ankle joint. The state of our feet, whether good or bad, has a direct impact on our knees, hips and back.

The big toe has two bones and the other has three bones, consisting of a base, a shaft and a head. These are called humerus. The talus is the bone that connects the foot to the ankle and has three parts; the head, neck and body. It is one of the larger bones in the foot and there is no muscle to connect it.

The calcaneus is the largest bone in the foot and forms the heel. It is also connected to the Achilles tendon and flexor of the small toe. The Achilles tendon connects the heel and the calf muscles, which is one reason why the calf stretch can have a positive effect on the entire foot. Achilles tendons is essential for being able to stand on the toes and run and jump. The middle portion of the foot consists of a set of arched bones; a wedge-shaped bone, a cuboid bone and a scaphoid.

The purpose of the arch is to distribute the weight evenly, so only when you have very high arches or extremely flat arches will the conditions be created. A very flat arch, or commonly referred to as a "flat foot", usually results in excessive internal rotation, where the ankle rolls into and exerts pressure on the inside of the foot. This will definitely cause problems such as bunions, old sputum or chronic ankle instability.

The plantar fascia is also a large connective ligament that supports the arch and connects the heel to the toe. If it is inflamed or irritated, it can cause pain in the heel.

Most people don't realize or think about the importance of keeping their feet healthy, strong and in good shape. In addition to stretching and calcium supplementation for the bones, remember that the shoes you wear also play an important role in the overall condition of your feet.

Ideally, walking barefoot is the best way to naturally strengthen your feet, tendons and bones, but not everyone can walk every day without wearing any form of closed toe. Weaving comfortable, flexible shoes and supporting your feet are the first steps to improve the health of your feet. Unfortunately, many shoe designers focus only on providing styles that are not comfortable or supportive, or providing comfort without regard to style.
