How to deal with ruts when mountain bikes

Every mountain biker occasionally encounters a rut. When a heavy vehicle such as a truck or trailer passes through a wet muddy area or the rider repeatedly uses the same path, a rut is formed, causing soil erosion.

Knowing how to handle the rut will help you stay away from the painful crash.

o First decide if you want to ride a bicycle through the rut, or you just want to stay away from the rut. If the rut is not very deep, you think you can ride it out, then ride it out. If the rut is very difficult to navigate, take the path with the least resistance to avoid passing through the rut.
