Mezzo-soprano Irem Ince, began her vocal studies at the age of 17 and quickly started performing in high school productions and productions and concerts with the Istanbul University State Conservatory. She earned her bachelor's degree in Opera Performance in 2015. Ms. Ince had the privilege of studying with Prof. Winston Purdy, with Prof. Michael McMahon in his Song Interpretation classes and with Prof. Patrick Hansen in Opera McGill in McGill University Schulich School of Music. She has been under the tutelage of Prof. Güzin Gürel at Istanbul University State Conservatory. She is the recipient of Maureen Forrester Montreal Musician's Guild Scholarship in 2013 -2014. She completed numerous well-known summer programs in Europe and Canada. Ms. Ince has performed many roles, most recently Ottavia in L'incoronazione di Poppea by Monteverdi at COSI in Sulmona, Italy and and Zita in Gianni Schicchi by Puccini in McGill Opera's 2014 – 2015 season. In 2016, Ms. Ince will be returning to Lyric Opera Studio Weimar to perform the role of Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte by Mozart and participate iSing Festival in Suzhou, China as a young artist.

Mezzo-soprano Irem Ince, a débuté ses études de chant à l'âge de 17 et a rapidement commencé à donner des concerts à l'école secondaire et au Conservatoire d'Etat de l'Université d'Istanbul. Elle a obtenu son diplôme de baccalauréat en Performance d'Opéra en 2015. Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Marie Haines has been playing piano since she was five years old. Her teacher Galina Shostakovsky first introduced her to the works of Kabalevsky, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin and Shchedrin, piquing her interest in twentieth century compositions. Marie now studies with Professor Marina Mdivani at McGill University's Schulich School of Music. She recently completed her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and is currently on her way to pursuing her Master's degree. Marie has a particular interest in musical humour and satire, and often chooses performance selections with this idea in mind.

Aside from her studies, Marie is a competitive runner, and a former middle distance member of the McGill Varsity Track and Field and Cross Country Teams. While she says the balance between sport and music can sometimes be difficult, Marie maintains that they are essential to one another. She continues to train and compete post-graduation with McGill Olympic Club.

Originaire d'Ottawa (Ontario), Marie Haines joue du piano depuis l'âge de cinq ans. C'est sa professeure, Galina Shostakovsky, qui éveilla chez elle un intérêt pour les compositions du XXe siècle en l'initiant aux œuvres de Kabalevsky, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin et Schedrin. Marie étudie désormais sous la tutelle de Marina Mdivani à l'école de Musique Schulich de l'Université McGill. Elle a récemment complété son baccalauréat en musique en interprétation, section piano et poursuivra sa maîtrise sous peu. Marie a un intérêt particulier pour l'humour musical et la satire et choisit souvent ses pièces avec ces idiosyncrasies en têtes. Outre ses études, Marie pratique la course compétitivement, étant notamment une ex-coureuse de demi-fond pour les équipes d'athlétisme et de Cross-country des Martlets de McGill. Bien qu'elle avoue que maintenir l'équilibre entre le sport et la musique peut parfois s'avérer éprouvant, Marie maintient qu'ils sont, à ses yeux, essentiels l'un à l'autre. Elle continue d'ailleurs toujours à s'entraîner après sa graduation avec le « McGill Olympic Club ».
