Sales of four chemicals

One of my favorite cocktails is vodka martini. It has four different ingredients - vodka, vermouth, olives and ice - it's delicious.

In the same way, it was discovered and promoted by Simon Sinek. Happiness or motivation was created in the human brain with four different chemicals. If we understand how these factors affect our sales team, our role as a sales leader. It will become easier and provide an incentive environment.

They are called EDSO-endorphin, dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin.

They are mixed together, explaining why humans are motivated and why sales people do what they do. This is the basic knowledge of any sales leader. Let me explain further.

Endorphin
from

This afternoon, I played squash with my best friend Paul; he beat me 2:1, very close to me playing better than usual. At the beginning of the game, my right arm was a little bit painful. I think this will hurt, but after 10 minutes of warm-up, my brain created endorphins, eradicating pain, I can continue.

Although I lost, it is very close, and I am very pleased. However, when I typed on the keyboard, I feel a little pain now.

Endorphins are fully compatible with their design goals. They cover up the pain when applying or exercising, and give you a high reward and encourage you to come back.

You can create your own endorphins by:





  • Smell some vanilla or lavender





  • Do some exercise





  • Seeking daily laughter





  • Eat some dark chocolate





  • listen to music





  • Eat something spicy

All sales leaders should provide their team with the opportunity to produce endorphins. They can provide exercise time and equipment, gym passes, work showers: Engender fun at work, as a cultural laughter: allow music, have a music playlist, motivate and change your status.

Dopamine

In my first sales job in the 80s, when I finished the transaction, I would throw the pen into the air and cheer. The boy feels good. I don't know if it was dopamine. I like it very much and it motivates me to get more sales. It can be addictive, and occasionally I may collapse when the deal is exhausted.

It will trigger dopamine. Goals, achievements and goals have been ticked off. The to-do list is a favorite of many salespeople, and the ritual that ends and finally completes the entire list gives them so much fun - dopamine injections.

The real role of dopamine is to encourage more achievements, no matter how small these achievements are. In ancient times, finding food was enough to trigger a chemical outbreak. Finding food means you will be alive, it is still just eating.

This is where dopamine can become dangerous because it is highly addictive, similar to alcohol dependence or gambling habits. Checking your phone every 5 minutes will give you a hit, especially if you receive something you like on Instagram or Facebook updates. I saw people in my gym. It is undeniable that the younger generation picks up the phone every 5 minutes. The vibration in the pocket means they must look; it is addictive, and its dopamine causes forcing.

Sales executives can help their sales team get a blow to dopamine. They can reward them with small goals that lead to ultimate victory, not just the ultimate victory. They can show them how to break down huge targets into snap-sized blocks that can be quickly obtained.

Serotonin

Now we start to study the chemicals that sales executives can use to influence sales people. When we feel good, serotonin comes into play: pride, status and become a member of the winning team. Whenever we feel important or important, it triggers the release of serotonin, and sales leaders can provide a large number of services to their sales staff:





  • positive feedback





  • Recognize the success of peers





  • Opportunity to grow with career development





  • Self-development disruption

These are the classic motivating factors we always know. Here are a few new ones:





  • Since the brain cannot distinguish between true or fictional success, it is deceived by imagining future success. I call this psychological rehearsal, which not only helps to eliminate the nerves of future events, but it also produces some fairly convenient serotonin.





  • Similarly, reviewing past successes can help you strengthen serotonin.





  • Enjoy a burst of sunshine - this will provide you with vitamin D and some serotonin.

Oxytocin

This aims to promote human relationships. Oxytocin is produced when you feel connected to someone else or in love. Trust and intimacy, physical contact and embracing your friends or loved ones inject a lot of things into you.

It strengthens the immune system and makes you feel safe. Generosity and helping others also give you a chance.

So, the sales leader, please make sure:





  • Organize teamwork on a regular basis to build trust and attachment.





  • Encourage the mentor program so that others can help your people and get some oxytocin.





  • Regular one-on-one with sales people to inspire care and progress.





  • Give your sales staff a hug every day. I will decide whether to leave this or not.

Therefore, these four chemicals can create happy, active and productive sales people who can be influenced by leaders. Finally we have ingredients, I can continue to enjoy my vodka martini. Even James Bond liked them very much, but his shake was not stirred; I never understood the difference.
