Our world is showing quite a lot of debris. Despite the vast knowledge of human science and technology, the true need of the human spirit and the type of knowledge that will integrate his intelligence, will and spiritual values are still ignorant. This is a tragic fact. The characteristics of postmodern culture throughout our world are distrust of ideas such as end, goal, and soul.

In this book, the authors aim to eliminate the confusion caused by the failure of contemporary philosophy to provide therapeutic methods for the growing skepticism, positivism and agnosticism that affect human thought. He made a clever analysis of the failure of human reason and the steps needed to reintegrate it into life. Sadly, with the rise of analytic schools and similar schools, philosophy has moved away from its original profession of helping people shape their lives to meet the challenges of reality. He emphasized the need for "whole realism," which is an idea that draws on Jacques Maritain. If I can summarize the essence of overall realism in one line, it would be: Between philosophy and life, but also between value and fact, theory and practice, areas of personal concern and social life facts.

This book has 13 carefully selected and well-designed chapters. The author demonstrates his erudition and foundation in modern and contemporary philosophy, especially American philosophy. Born in the United States, it is natural for him to write philosophy in his own context and context. Therefore, in this respect, he is impossible, even his fault. However, this book has two shortcomings, not in itself, but in the current context. First of all, this book was written in the early 1970s, so some "problems", and perhaps some rebuttal arguments are no longer relevant. Second, the target audience for books is Americans, so people like me from different countries barely find the relevant, interesting and relevant content discussed. For example, authors often quote John Dewey and William James as authors of pure Americans and are therefore not known in Hindi. However, the main topic discussed by the author in each chapter provides valuable food for reflection.

This book is very suitable as a primer for philosophy. Beginners will find that the author's language is easy to read and understand, and easy to master. I will recommend this book to anyone who is interested in philosophical adventures. But it must be remembered that the author wrote this book many years ago and used his knowledge at the time to solve the gloom of that era. Therefore, he does not use later concepts or ideas as postmodern ideas, although some of his solutions are adopted and promoted by postmodernists. This book provides an interesting paper and offers many possibilities for further research and reflection. The author's work and his practical approach to philosophy must be commended. Despite criticism of the prevailing American pragmatism, one can notice its subtle effects. The author summarizes the book and explains the purpose of writing, which is to motivate individuals to assume the role of knowledge leadership and to provide a reasonable response to the challenges of human survival that advances technological advancement and fundamentalism.
