Three aspects of personal growth

Are you making real progress?

Consider this challenge in Howard Hendrix's book from

Changing the teaching of life
from

: "Write the answer to this question: How have you changed recently? In the last week, let us say? Or last month? Last year?"

Not all changes are progress, but there is no progress without change. This article shares three strategies to help you improve your progress.

  1. prayer.

    from

If progress is a ladder, the first step is prayer. Prayer is also a ladder stabilizer. When I grew up, my grandmother would say, "Prayers have changed things." Prayer is the source of vision, power, creativity, and blessing. Jesus told the disciples in the parable of the lasting widow of Luke 18 that people should always pray. If you want to experience more success... pray.

  2. Persistence.

    from

The second phase of the progress ladder is persistence. In order to move forward in life, you must persevere. In the face of life challenges, you need to stand up and down. Moreover, the only way to overcome these challenges is to work harder. As the saying goes, when things get tough, hard progress. President Calvin Coolidge said this: "Continue to advance. There is nothing in the world that can replace persistence. Talent is not. Genius does not. Education itself does not. Only persistence and determination can do everything." Some people have not made progress, Because they gave up too early. never give up.

  3. practice.

    from

The third stage is practice. You have heard that expression exercises are perfect. But can perfection really be achieved? I would rather say that practice has made progress. Doing things over and over will make people better, not perfect. To experience the progress in life, you must practice. [1] Practice new ideas. Your thoughts affect everything around you and everyone. In order to move forward, you must have a positive attitude. [2] Practice new skills. Learn your passion. And don't be afraid to make mistakes. Errors are just opportunities to learn new things. [3] Practice new actions. Nothing happens until you take action until you do something different.

Progress begins with the first step. What steps would you take?
